iBeta's Security Audit
iBeta's Security Audit is designed to verify that the client's software has been tested for a specified range of security related issues.
This Security Audit will test for the following conditions:
Spyware
Does the software have embedded spyware, key loggers or does it 'Phone Home'?
Ad Ware
Does the software install third party applications that are not required for normal operations? (Such as Gator or browser hijackers)
Virus
Does the software trigger antivirus traps?
Does the software unknowingly cause damage to the system state?
Pop-Up
Does the software work with pop-up blockers?
Do pop-up blockers cause the software to behave in an undesirable way?
Firewall
Compatibility with Packet Filtering, Circuit Level, Application Gateway and Stateful Packet Inspection firewalls.
Permission Escalation
Can the application be used to escalate the local user to a higher permission level?
Exploit
Can a third party exploit the software to gain local system access? (i.e. brute force, buffer overflows, etc.)
