consistency among the players

on-line newsgroups and magazines to insure continued interest in the

Multiplayer Action Game - Patch
• Recommended and tested mathematical
approaches to dealing with unavoidable internet packet loss - this
insured that multiplayer games look good even when high packet loss
occurred in eight player games
• Tested the newly implemented bandwidth
management code to insure that the eight-player game was very playable
on the internet using minimal available bandwidth
• Identified other key bugs needed to
insure players saw major improvements in multiplayer playability
• Developed high-level bug
characterizations and detailed documentation to insure that engineering
resources used to fix bugs were utilized efficiently
• Established and managed a public beta
tester team of over 60 people
• Accomplished all of the above in less
